Pay Based on Experience (BOE) Join the WarHorse Gaming Team WarHorse Gaming is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in Omaha, Nebraska. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, supporting month-end close activities, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments in a fast-paced gaming and hospitality environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Practice, support, and uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming. Reconcile bank statements and assigned balance sheet accounts accurately and timely. Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP. Assist with month-end close processes and financial reporting activities. Analyze accounting transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances. Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, depreciation schedules, and other financial reports. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost center reporting initiatives. Serve as backup for Accounts Payable functions, including invoice processing, expense reporting, vendor payments, and year-end 1099 reporting. Assist with annual financial statement audits and auditor requests. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Participate in special projects and additional assignments as requested by management. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Two (2) to four (4) years of accounting or finance experience. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience working with accounting ERP systems. Ability to secure and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License. Preferred Accounting experience within a casino, gaming, hospitality, or hotel environment. Experience using SAP or similar enterprise accounting software. What You'll Bring Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
