Job Description:

Beacon Hill was founded to set a new standard in search, career placement and flexible staffing. We're seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards, supporting month-end close, and partnering with cross-functional teams to analyze and report revenue activity. Key Responsibilities Prepare and record revenue journal entries Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close process Review contracts and assess proper revenue recognition treatment Reconcile revenue-related accounts (deferred revenue, unbilled AR, etc.) Analyze revenue fluctuations and provide variance explanations Support billing operations and collaborate with AR teams Assist with audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries Maintain and improve revenue accounting processes and internal controls Partner with Sales, FP&A, and Operations on revenue-related matters Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2-5+ years of accounting experience (revenue, GL, or public accounting preferred) Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606) Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset Why Join?
