Job Description:
Our client is a family office. They seek a Senior Manager of Accounting to join their Manhattan, NY office. Responsibilities Review monthly, quarterly, and annual books and records across a large portfolio of partnerships, operating companies, and trusts Evaluate tax return workpapers to ensure technical accuracy, completeness, and appropriate accounting treatment Coordinate with private equity managers and third-party administrators to obtain financial data and resolve reporting discrepancies Interpret complex investment structures and apply accounting standards to diverse and high-value transactions Liaise with internal tax teams as the primary accounting contact for reporting and compliance needs Account for complex assets, including private equity investments, real estate holdings, aircraft, and yacht structures Strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across multi-entity operations Mentor and support accounting staff while serving as a technical resource for complex accounting matters Improve accounting processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and consistency across a high-volume entity structure Support special projects, entity structuring initiatives, and ad hoc reporting requirements Requirements 12-20 years of partnership accounting experience Private equity, real estate, or hedge fund experience Family office experience preferred General tax experience Experience with Peach Tree, QuickBooks, Quicken, or Archway is a plus CPA preferred
