Job Description
Overview The Tax Accountant will be responsible for property tax, sales and use tax reporting, sales tax license registrations, business license and certificate registrations, tax resale/exemption certificates and assisting with US state and local tax compliance for all US entities in all US jurisdictions. Responsibilities Register and renew sales tax permits and licenses for a select group of entities in all jurisdictions Responsible for filing, paying, and billing back all property tax filings for all entities in all jurisdictions Responsible for maintaining up to date property information for each location Responsible for opening and closing property tax accounts as needed to ensure property tax filing compliance based on the currently occupied locations Prepare data and provide support for property tax and sales and use tax audits for all entities in all jurisdictions Research and resolve tax notices for all entities in all jurisdictions Responsible for working with a 3rd party provider to gather, upload and review all sales and use tax data and filings for an assigned group of entities in all state and local jurisdictions Responsible for obtaining, distributing, and paying all business licenses and certificates for a select group of entities in all jurisdictions Responsible for tracking the status of all business licenses and certificates for a select group of entities ensuring compliance in all locations Responsible for obtaining all tax resale/exemption certificates for a select group of qualifying entities Complete all other tasks and projects assigned by management Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field is required One to three years' experience with Sales and Use Tax, Property Tax and Business Licensing is preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office, including advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel (i.e. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced formulas) Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy is required Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure Proven ability in complex problem solving and use of solid judgment skills Proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines Ability to maintain confidentiality What we have to offer: Medical, dental, prescription, and vision benefits 24/7 virtual medical care Employee Assistance Program for you and your family 401(k) with company match Company-paid life insurance Supplemental insurance for yourself, your spouse/partner, and your children Short-term and long-term disability insurance Pre-tax Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Accounts for Health Care or Dependent Care Pet Insurance Commuter accounts Oticon Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status. The pay range for this position is expected to be between $77,130 and $85,700 annual; however, while the salary range is effective as of the date of this posting, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Qualifications:
