$140k - $145k Position Overview:
The Senior Property Accountant will join a highly experienced accounting team and take ownership of the financial operations for a portfolio of commercial and industrial properties. This role offers a strong balance of autonomy and collaboration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys managing the full accounting lifecycle while contributing to a stable, team-oriented environment. The position provides strong visibility and the opportunity to make a lasting impact within a respected organization. Responsibilities of the Senior Property Accountant:
Manage full-cycle property accounting for a portfolio of commercial and industrial assets. Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including variance analysis. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including tenant billing and collections. Interpret and apply commercial lease terms, including rent escalations and CAM reconciliations. Perform account reconciliations and maintain the integrity of the general ledger. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Support audit and tax processes through preparation of schedules and documentation. Partner with the Property Management and Operations teams to provide financial insights. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Property Accountant:
7+ years of experience in commercial real estate or property accounting. Strong understanding of real estate financial transactions and lease structures. Experience with real estate accounting systems such as Yardi, MRI, or Oracle. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills. Comfortable working in a stable, low-turnover, team-oriented environment. Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Property Accountant:
Background working with commercial and/or industrial real estate portfolios. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis. Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Benefits:
