Job DescriptionJob Description Accountant Monmouth County, NJ Manage and execute the full-cycle month-end and year-end close process Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Perform cost accounting , including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation Monitor and reconcile inventory , including WIP (Work in Progress) and finished goods Oversee general ledger activities , including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Partner with operations to analyze production costs, labor, and material usage Support budgeting and forecasting processes and provide variance explanations Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Assist with external audits , tax filings, and regulatory reporting Maintain and improve ERP systems and accounting processes Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff (if applicable) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing Experience with SAGE Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred) CPA or CMA designation is a plus
