Senior Accountant @ Global Manufacturing Firm

Job Description We're partnering with a leading, global manufacturer in Northern NJ that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role will play a key part in driving accurate inventory valuation, tracking and analyzing production costs, and supporting month-end close processes. It's an excellent opportunity for a cost accounting professional with strong manufacturing experience to work closely with leadership and make an impact in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support month-end close, including journal entries, inventory valuation, and preparation of financial reports. Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate monthly cutoff for sales, inventory, receivables, and payables. Maintain and update standard cost systems, including annual cost standards and monthly commodity price updates. Conduct inventory cycle counts, scrap valuation analysis, and assist with the annual physical inventory. Prepare cost roll-ups for new part numbers and support overhead cost pool development for budgeting and variance analysis. Partner with leadership to implement process improvements in financial reporting and systems. Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or business-related field 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in ERP systems, advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and strong data analysis skills. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities. Experience with process improvement and working across cross-functional teams.
