Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information Document financial transactions by entering account information Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures Reconcile financial information by completing database backups Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions Analyze financial information and summarize financial status Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information Complete internal and external audits to ensure compliance Support month-end and year-end close process Maintain the Fixed Asset and CIP systems, and perform physical asset inventory audits. Provide monthly tracking and month-end accruals and reporting for: Prepaids, Scrap Shipments, Repairs & Maintenance, Freight, Utilities, and Other Receivables. Handle various P&L & Balance Sheet monthly closing tasks, including journal entry preparations and reconciliations of internal books Reconcile all Intercompany accounts, including Payroll, Wire/ACH payments, etc. each month. Perform banking acct. maintenance and monthly reconciliation. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Master's Degree a plus. 2+ years of Accounting/Finance experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment or consumer products company preferred. Knowledge of income statement preparation, balance sheet analysis, and capital project spending Working knowledge of GAAP and internal control procedures. Strong proficiency level in Microsoft Office apps. Experience with ERP, Fixed Asset, Contract Management, AS400, and MAPICS Detail-oriented and thorough. Team player, who is also a self-starter with the ability to work independently and show initiative. Strong oral and written communication skills.
