This role works closely with both finance and operations and is involved in general accounting along with project-related financials. This is a good fit for someone with construction or contractor accounting experience who understands job costing and wants to be part of a growing, stable team. Key Responsibilities Support general accounting including GL, journal entries, and month-end close Assist with job cost tracking, cost allocations, and project financials Prepare AIA billing, progress billing, and invoicing Manage accounts payable and receivable, including collections Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts Maintain WIP schedules, revenue tracking, and cost reporting Support payroll coordination and labor/job cost tracking Assist with subcontractor compliance (lien waivers, insurance, 1099s) Help with financial reporting, audits, and internal documentation Work with project managers on budgets, cost tracking, and reporting Requirements 3-6+ years of accounting experience Experience in a construction or contractor environment strongly preferred Strong understanding of GL, AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end close Exposure to job costing, WIP, and project-based accounting Experience with AIA or construction billing preferred Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivots, reporting) Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, Viewpoint, Foundation, or Procore preferred Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Compensation & Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and PTO Stable backlog of local work Long-term growth within a growing contractor
