This is a hands-on role critical to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting informed business decisions, and ensuring efficient accounting processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment where responsibilities span core accounting functions and broader operational support. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Reporting Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely transaction postings Perform reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, and all balance sheet accounts Administer payroll in partnership with a third-party provider Support full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (vendor payments, invoicing, collections) Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain complete, accurate financial records Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in a timely manner Own the month-end and year-end close processes Assist with inventory counts and provide recommendations based on findings Deliver financial reports, data analysis, and insights to support leadership decision-making Compliance & Internal Controls Evaluate and implement internal controls appropriate for a growing organization Coordinate with external tax advisors to support tax preparation and filings Maintain well-organized financial documentation and audit-ready records Systems, Process Improvement & Operational Support Ensure accounting systems are configured to produce accurate and reliable data Recommend and implement process improvements and system enhancements Document accounting procedures and workflows Support budgeting and forecasting activities Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple responsibilities Preferred CPA designation Experience with NetSuite (Oracle) Payroll processing experience Key Attributes Hands-on, reliable, and committed to accuracy and quality Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership Effective communicator able to collaborate with cross-functional teams Analytical, resourceful, and process improvement-oriented High level of integrity and discretion with confidential information
