Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will oversee various accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, compliance with industry standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and efficient management of financial data. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, familiarity with multiple accounting software platforms, and a solid understanding of payroll management and governmental accounting practices. Responsibilities Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet analysis Perform accounts payable and receivable functions with accuracy and timeliness Reconcile accounts using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and internal audit requirements Process payroll using systems like ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian; oversee payroll management tasks Maintain accurate financial records through data entry and double-entry bookkeeping practices Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and month-end closing procedures Support tax preparation activities by ensuring proper documentation and adherence to governmental regulations Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly Prepare financial reports for management review and regulatory agencies Qualifications Proven experience in corporate accounting within a professional environment; public accounting experience is a plus Proficiency with various accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and governmental accounting standards Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis accurately Excellent math skills with strong attention to detail in data entry and bookkeeping tasks Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and supporting audit processes If you are committed to maintaining high standards of financial accuracy and enjoy working in a dynamic environment dedicated to healthcare finance solutions, we encourage you to apply for this vital role within our organization.
