Senior Accountant Ultimate Staffing Services - 3.8 Las Vegas, NV Job Details Full-time $35 - $40 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Community health center experience Spreadsheets Bachelor's degree GAAP Non-profit experience Analytics Full Job Description Senior Accountant - Healthcare & Nonprofit We are partnering with a mission-driven healthcare organization seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. This individual will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, grant accounting, compliance, and operational financial analysis. This position works closely with executive leadership and is responsible for supporting the financial health of the organization through accurate reporting, internal controls, and strategic financial insights. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Manage grant funding and related financial reporting requirements Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements Assist with audits, cost reports, and other financial compliance initiatives Analyze financial performance, operational trends, and program profitability Collaborate with leadership to support strategic financial decision-making Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 5 years of accounting experience Experience working within a nonprofit organization required Experience working for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) required Strong understanding of GAAP and fund accounting principles Experience with grants management and financial reporting Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement practices preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Preferred Experience Healthcare industry accounting experience Cost accounting and budgeting experience Experience supporting audits and regulatory reporting Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment This is an excellent opportunity to join an organization that is committed to improving community health while making a meaningful impact through sound financial stewardship.
