Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This position is ideal for an accounting specialist who is comfortable working in a complex environment with multiple entities and currencies while helping maintain accurate financial records and supporting a disciplined close process. The role offers broad exposure to general ledger activity, reconciliations, cash application, and intercompany accounting within a collaborative, high-performance setting.
Responsibilities:
  • Record recurring and standard journal entries related to payroll, accruals, allocations, and other monthly accounting activity.
  • Help maintain accurate general ledger balances across several entities by supporting core close activities and reviewing posted transactions.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, research outstanding differences, and resolve issues within established timelines.
  • Organize supporting schedules and documentation so records remain clear, complete, and ready for audit or compliance review.
  • Analyze selected income statement accounts to identify coding errors, unusual activity, or misstatements and help correct them promptly.
  • Process customer payments, apply cash receipts to open accounts, and ensure daily bank activity is reflected accurately in the accounting records.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and support the integrity of accounts receivable balances and aging reports through consistent subledger maintenance.
  • Enter and reconcile intercompany activity and contribute to accounting work involving international subsidiaries and transactions denominated in multiple currencies.
  • Partner with the accounting team during month-end close to meet reporting deadlines, respond to audit requests, and recommend practical process improvements. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • 2-4+ years of accounting experience in a staff accountant or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and month-end close responsibilities.
  • Strong background in account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyze data efficiently and work with complex spreadsheets.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as NetSuite.
  • Familiarity with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting, including intercompany transactions, is preferred.
  • Ability to work accurately under recurring deadlines while contributing effectively in both independent and team-based settings.
