Full-Time Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accountant to manage daily financial operations and assist with minor HR responsibilities. The ideal candidate will take over in-house bookkeeping duties from an external accounting firm and ensure the continued efficiency of the current accounting system. Experience with Zoho Books or QuickBooks is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Bookkeeping:
Maintain and manage the full-cycle bookkeeping process. Handle all billing and invoicing procedures. Process company commissions and ensure accurate and timely payments. Reconcile bank statements and manage financial records. Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Generate and analyze financial reports as needed.
System Management:
Work within existing accounting software (Zoho Books or QuickBooks). Ensure smooth integration of financial data into the current system. HR Support (Minor Duties): Assist with onboarding new employees. Handle health insurance billing and other benefits-related tasks. Maintain confidential employee files and assist with minor administrative HR tasks.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role. Proficiency with Zoho Books and/or QuickBooks is required. Strong understanding of general accounting principles. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Experience with payroll, taxes, and commission calculations is a plus. Familiarity with basic HR processes is helpful but not required.
Preferred Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable working in a small team or entrepreneurial environment. Discretion with handling sensitive and confidential information.
