Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Senior Accountant to support financial operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining cost accounting integrity, and driving process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, hands-on manufacturing accounting experience, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAPLead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysisManage and maintain cost accounting systems, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysisAnalyze manufacturing variances (labor, material, overhead) and provide actionable insights to operations leadershipPartner with production, supply chain, and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and inventory controlsOversee inventory accounting, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation processesSupport budgeting and forecasting processes, including cost modeling and margin analysisIdentify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and strengthen internal controlsAssist with audits (internal and external) and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsMentor accounting staff and contribute to team development as needed
