Tax & Accounting Intern

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Tax & Accounting Intern to join our dynamic finance team. This paid internship offers valuable hands-on experience in tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, accounting support, and client services within a fast-paced accounting office environment. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals and gain real-world exposure to daily accounting operations, tax workflows, financial organization, and client communication. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to strengthen their practical skills and build a strong foundation for a future career in accounting, tax, or finance. Strong candidates who demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and growth throughout the internship may be considered for internship extensions and/or permanent employment opportunities. The internship is expected to commence on June 10th and run through August, averaging approximately 30 hours per week or as needed based on workflow and availability. We are flexible and happy to work around school schedules. Last day to apply is May 27th, 2026. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of individual and business tax returns Support bookkeeping and accounting tasks using QuickBooks and other accounting software Organize, review, and maintain client financial records and documentation Assist with payroll processing, sales tax filings, and bank reconciliations Prepare supporting schedules and workpapers for accounting and tax projects Communicate with clients regarding document requests and follow-ups Support office operations and administrative tasks as needed Help maintain accuracy, organization, and timely completion of client work Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Basic understanding of accounting principles and tax concepts Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills Experience with accounting software is highly preferred, but not required Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional attitude and willingness to learn Fluency in Arabic and English required due to client communication needs. Spanish language skills are highly preferred.
