Position Overview:
The Accountant may be responsible for managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial integrity of our operations and supporting our overall business objectives.Key Responsibilities:
1.Accounts Receivable:
Generate invoices for customer accounts. Track incoming payments and post receipts in the accounting system. Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy. Follow up on outstanding invoices and handle collection efforts with sales and financing department. Resolve any billing issues or discrepancies. 2.Accounts Payable:
Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriateness. Enter and code invoices in the accounting system. Prepare and process payments, ensuring timely payment of all invoices. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Maintain relationships with vendors and respond to inquiries. 3.Financial Records and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. 4.General Accounting Support:
Perform daily cash management and assist in bank reconciliation tasks. Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll. Provide support for audits and other financial reviews. Maintain confidentiality of financial information. 5.Payroll and General Human Resource Support:
Responsible for preparation and processing of weekly payroll. Perform payroll general ledger related entries and quarterly reconciliation of draws. Oversee employee records and benefits administration to include new hire and annual open enrollment. 6.Communication and Coordination:
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and colleagues. Provide excellent customer service in resolving account inquiries. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.Qualifications:
Education:
2-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.Experience:
7-10 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience in accounts receivable and accounts payableSkills:
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Benefits:
