At CCS, our Accounting Intern role offers hands-on experience working alongside a collaborative Finance team, where you'll gain real exposure to the day-to-day operations that keep a business running. This isn't a "sit back and observe" internship-you'll contribute to meaningful projects, support key accounting processes, and build practical skills that translate directly into a full-time career.
What You'll Do:
Support month-end close by preparing reconciliations, schedules, and documentation Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, including invoice review and data entry Help maintain general ledger accuracy through account reconciliations Contribute to audit preparation and ad hoc financial analysis Update and maintain financial reports, trackers, and dashboards Assist with billing, collections, and customer account research Document accounting processes and help improve standard operating procedures Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives using tools like Excel, Power Query, and Power Automate Collaborate with teams across Accounting, Finance, and Operations Learn and apply real-world accounting policies, controls, and best practices Perform other job-related duties as assigned
What You Bring:
Competencies & Skills Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Junior or Senior preferred) Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills Clear communication skills and a willingness to ask questions and learn Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Technical Proficiency Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables a plus) Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) Exposure to accounting or ERP systems (NetSuite or similar is a plus, not required) Knowledge & Experience Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Junior or Senior preferred) Prior internship or part-time experience in accounting or finance is a plus but not required Education / Certification Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program (Accounting, Finance, or related discipline) Work Environment & Physical Demands Office environment Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use Standard business hours with flexibility during peak periods (e.g., month-end) #
