Staff Accountant

Description Our client in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Staff Accountant to support their accounting team. This role is ideal for an organized professional with strong analytical skills and hands-on accounting experience who can step in quickly and contribute to day-to-day financial operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and maintain journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and account analysis + Assist with month-end and year-end close processes + Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts + Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed + Help prepare financial reports and schedules + Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures + Assist with audit support and other ad hoc accounting projects

Requirements Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred + 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a staff accountant or similar role + Strong knowledge of general accounting principles + Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel + Experience with systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, or Microsoft D365 is a plus + Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
