Job Description:
A major global HVAC manufacturing company is expanding its U.S. footprint and opening a new office in Melville, NY. We are seeking a Full-Charge Accountant to build and own the accounting function for this new location. This is a high-visibility role with strong growth potential as the office expands. This position is fully on-site and ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, building processes, and being the go-to accounting expert. Candidates who speak both English and Mandarin are encouraged to apply! Position Summary The Full-Charge Accountant will manage the day-to-day accounting operations for the U.S. office and ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and tax filings across local, state, and federal requirements. This role will work closely with global finance leadership and play a key part in establishing scalable processes as the organization grows. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Operations Own the full accounting cycle including AP, AR, general ledger, and journal entries Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close Maintain and reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts Manage cash flow tracking and reporting Prepare internal financial statements and management reports Maintain accounting policies and procedures for the new office Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversee vendor setup, invoice processing, and payment runs Manage customer invoicing, collections, and aging reports Ensure accurate expense tracking and coding Tax & Compliance Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax Manage local, state, and federal tax filings Coordinate with external CPA firm for corporate tax returns and audits Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal global reporting requirements Process Development & Systems Establish and improve accounting workflows and internal controls Assist with ERP and system implementation or optimization Partner with leadership to support budgeting and forecasting Help scale the accounting function as the U.S. team grows Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Proven experience as a Full-Charge Accountant or Senior Accountant Hands-on experience with: AP / AR ownership Account reconciliations Month-end close Sales tax and multi-state tax filings Strong knowledge of
U.S. GAAP
Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, or product-based companies Advanced Excel skills Preferred Experience supporting a subsidiary of a global company ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics, or similar) CPA or CPA track a plus Bilingual in English and Mandarin If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, let's chat!
