Senior Accountant We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our expanding Finance team. This position will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, supporting the close process, and strengthening internal controls. The role also partners closely across departments to ensure sound accounting practices as the organization continues to grow. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment and brings a strong foundation in technical accounting, attention to detail, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach Key Responsibilities Accounting & Close Activities Support and take ownership of key aspects of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Maintain and update the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of financial records. Prepare audit-ready schedules and supporting documentation for financial statement reviews and external audits. Technical Accounting & Compliance Research and apply accounting guidance for complex topics (including ASC 606 and ASC 842), and document conclusions through technical accounting memos when appropriate. Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and internal controls to ensure alignment with company compliance standards and SOC requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with FP&A, Legal, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure proper accounting treatment for contracts, spending, and key business initiatives. Provide support during audit cycles by preparing requested materials and addressing auditor inquiries. Process & Systems Enhancement Identify areas for improvement within accounting processes to drive greater efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. Contribute to system enhancements, including ERP upgrades and automation efforts. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 4-6+ years of progressive accounting experience; experience in public accounting or within a SaaS/technology environment is a plus. Strong knowledge of US GAAP. Hands-on experience with the close process, reconciliations, and audit support. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities. This role is based onsite in Melville, NY. Preferred Qualifications CPA license or actively pursuing certification. Background in fintech or SaaS Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606) and/or lease accounting (ASC 842). Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite and experience with automation tools.
