Senior Tax Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description Our organization is looking for a full time Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, highly motivated, have excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. A successful candidate will also have the ability to work independently or in a team environment. Three years experience at a public accounting firm required. Compensation to be adjusted commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

Compliance with firm policies and procedures Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, LLCs, fiduciaries, S and C Corps Prepare projections for year-end tax strategies Maintain general ledger accounts and financial records Prepare year-end closings (including journal entries) Respond to IRS and state tax notices Perform reviews and compilations of financial statements Communicate directly with clients and build client relationships

Skills:

Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Online Experience with Lacerte Tax, a plus Experience with Xero, a plus

Certifications:

CPA/EA or CPA Candidate, a plus
