Job Description

Title Accounting Associate Location:
Midtown, NY | 1-2 days onsite
Salary:
$70,000 - $80,000

Key Responsibilities:
Manage full‑cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable, process employee expense reports, and maintain general ledger entries for multiple client accounts Record and reconcile bank activity; review source documentation and organize supporting files Prepare 1099s and assist with client reporting deliverables Participate in month‑end close, prepare basic financial reports, and maintain balance sheet schedules For senior associates: handle advanced journal entries, manage accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets, and contribute to payroll reconciliation and financial statement review
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field 1-2 years of hands‑on accounting experience for associate level or 3+ years for senior associate level within a public accounting or client‑services environment Strong Excel skills and familiarity with general accounting processes and reconciliations Clear written and verbal communication skills with comfort interacting directly with clients U.S.‑based accounting experience required; international degrees considered on a case‑by‑case basis when paired with relevant U.S. work history #
