Corporate Tax Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description Our client is an investment management and investment advisory firm. They seek a temp Corporate Tax Accountant to join their Manhattan, NY office. Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for corporate entities, partnerships, and investment-related structures Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings Research tax regulations and assess the impact of new legislation on the firm's operations and investment activities Assist in tax planning initiatives designed to optimize tax efficiency and support business objectives Maintain tax calendars and monitor filing deadlines to ensure compliance Reconcile tax accounts and support quarterly and annual tax provision calculations Prepare supporting schedules, workpapers, and documentation for audits and regulatory examinations Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate tax treatment of transactions and financial reporting Monitor nexus, withholding, and state tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions Support special projects related to entity structuring, tax compliance, and operational initiatives Requirements 4+ years of experience in partnership and individual tax compliance Experience with asset management clients, including funds of funds and hedge funds, preferred Prior experience at a Big 4 or top 10 accounting firm is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines Willingness to work overtime during peak period (August through October 15) Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets
