Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will support the finance and tax department by assisting with various financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, be proficient with accounting, financical analysis and reporting; financial control and regulatory reporting. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a dynamic organization dedicated to financial integrity and operational excellence. Duties Preparing the NY Branch financial statements under IFRS and French accounting standards Preparing various financial reports and analysis for Management, Head Office, Treasury, and Corporate Departments Preparing analytical / cost accounting reports Preparing regulatory reports Perform various internal controls Provide financial information on P&L projections Participate in the preparation of budgets Participate in developing, upgrading and testing of the bank/department systems and automated tools, as needed. Participate with tax related items such as compiling and analyzing data and preparing documentation Experience Master's degree or equivalent and/or CPA preferred Accounting experience in a bank and/or reputable audit firm (auditing banks) Advanced MS Excel skills Some understanding of key financial instruments: Bonds, Derivatives, Money Market instruments (knowledge of asset backed securities/mortgage-backed securities a plus but not required) Experience with financial control, financial analysis and financial reporting Motivated individual with ability and willingness to work in a multi-functional environment Experience in U.S and/or French regulatory reporting a plus but not required
