Job Description

About Our Company We are an established real estate property management firm overseeing affordable and market-rate rental and co-op/condo residential properties throughout New York City, New Jersey and the surrounding suburbs. Job Description Responsibilities You will handle several of our properties including several affordable properties.
The position involves:
Annual and periodic budget preparation Preparation of monthly operating statements including budget review and variance analysis and track investments, escrows, and reserve accounts. Maintenance of monthly schedules in support of the statement analysis, Cash management, as well as review and approval of all disbursements, Review and implementation of commercial leases and escalation billing, if applicable to your assigned properties, Period-end closing journal entries and reversing entries for most properties, Additional assignments, analyses, and special projects as they arise. Interaction with all levels of management, as well as with independent auditors, owners' groups and supervising governmental agencies. Requirements Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting. Minimum of 5 years' experience in property management. Experience with affordable housing properties (HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, etc.) Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS 365. Written and oral communication skills. Experience with Yardi or comparable real estate accounting software like MRI. Experience with electronic processing of invoices with Avidxchange. Your physical presence in office is required: this is not a remote work position. Regular 9-5 work hours with limited overtime in budget season and an occasional early evening meeting with a condo/co-op board, currently via videoconferencing.
