Full-Time Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support our finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate will assist with daily accounting tasks, financial record keeping, accounts payable/receivable and general administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements Perform bank reconciliations and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes Process invoices, payments, and expense reports Assist with audits Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions Maintain proper filing of accounting records and documentation Assist with budget preparation and forecasts Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 0-2 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage 300) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Internship or hands-on experience in a similar role Willingness to learn and grow within the role
Working Conditions:
Standard office hours, Monday to Friday Occasional overtime during peak periods (e.g., month-end, year-end)
