Job Description
Description Responsibilities:
- Manage key accounting activities tied to the monthly close process, including journal entry preparation, ledger review, and timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Support and maintain Oracle Cloud accounting processes, providing configuration guidance and post-production assistance to ensure reliable system performance.
- Oversee accounting areas such as lease accounting, fixed assets, cash management, and accounts payable with a focus on compliance and operational accuracy.
- Perform reconciliations across bank accounts and balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions when needed.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders throughout the system development life cycle to align accounting needs with application capabilities.
- Contribute to global implementation efforts by helping define requirements, validate solutions, and promote effective accounting practices across teams.
- Analyze financial and system data to produce meaningful reporting, identify issues, and support informed decision-making.
- Provide leadership and subject matter guidance to colleagues by encouraging sound accounting methods and practical process improvements within system constraints. Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for close activities, general ledger work, and reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud solutions, including configuration exposure and post-go-live support.
- Strong knowledge of lease accounting, fixed asset accounting, cash management, and accounts payable processes.
- Familiarity with the system development life cycle and the ability to work effectively with both finance and technology teams.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and the ability to apply accounting policy in a business environment.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with experience reviewing data, preparing reports, and troubleshooting cross-system issues.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities, with the capacity to influence others and promote best-practice solutions.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a collaborative team environment.
