Job Description

Whittemore, Dowen & Ricciardelli, LLP (WDR) is an established public accounting firm seeking a highly motivated professional with public accounting experience to join our team as a senior auditor/accountant. WDR's mission is to be a trusted partner to our clients and deliver professional services with the highest level of expertise, integrity and commitment by empowering our staff through a supportive and innovative environment The responsibilities of the senior auditor/accountant will include, but are not limited to, leading and performing all aspects of audit and attest engagements for small to medium sized for profit entities across a variety of industries, not for profit organizations and employee benefit plans, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Accountant :
Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in a public accounting role that includes preparation of financial statements. Experience with not for profits is preferred. CPA license required Positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve upon skills Ability to manage time on multiple clients to complete engagements within budget. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel (QuickBooks a plus) Compliance with and understanding of regulatory requirements Experience researching and implementing accounting and auditing standards. Excellent written and verbal communication, team building, leadership and organizational skills Ability to guide junior team members on their responsibilities. Willingness to learn and progress in the profession through review notes from more senior team members and continuing education. Experience in preparing business and not for profit tax returns is preferred. Possess good work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Planning, problem solving, and critical thinking skills Responsibilities for the Senior Auditor /

Complex audit engagements Review engagements Financial statement preparation for for-profit companies, not-for-profits and employee benefit plans Reviewing policies and procedures Advising on organizational improvements May also work with tax preparation for individuals, corporations and not-for-profits Hour Requirements for the Senior Auditor /
