This is not a traditional accounting position. We are looking for someone who values automation over paperwork, efficiency over busywork, and takes pride in helping businesses run like well-oiled machines. The ideal candidate is a QuickBooks Online power user who combines strong accounting expertise with a passion for process improvement. They are detail-oriented, organized, customer-focused, and committed to accountability. They continuously seek opportunities to automate tasks, streamline workflows, improve reporting, and eliminate unnecessary work. What You'll Do Client Accounting & Financial Management Maintain accurate and timely books for multiple full-service clients Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Categorize and review bank and credit card transactions Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Lead and execute a structured monthly close process Analyze financial statements and provide meaningful insights to clients Assist with sales tax preparation and compliance processes Process Improvement & Technology Identify opportunities to automate recurring accounting tasks Develop, document, and improve accounting processes for clients Leverage AI and technology tools to increase efficiency and accuracy Improve reporting workflows and financial visibility for clients Help establish and maintain firm-wide accounting best practices Team Collaboration & Quality Control Review the work of team members to ensure accuracy and adherence to firm standards Collaborate with internal teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Support clients with financial information and accounting-related inquiries Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and applicable regulations What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 4+ years of accounting experience, including experience as an Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar role Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Comfort learning and utilizing new technologies, software platforms, and AI tools Preferred Qualifications CPA certification or CPA candidate Experience with AppFolio or property management accounting Experience managing multiple clients in a public accounting, CAS (Client Accounting Services), or outsourced accounting environment Experience implementing accounting systems, workflows, or automation tools Success Traits The ideal candidate: Thinks like a problem solver, not just a bookkeeper Loves finding ways to eliminate manual work Embraces accountability and ownership Enjoys working directly with clients and building trusted relationships Is naturally organized and process-oriented Stays curious about emerging technologies and AI-driven solutions Consistently looks for ways to improve efficiency, accuracy, and client outcomes Why Join Us?
