Job Description

As an Accountant , you will be an integral part of Studco's Finance Team, responsible for product costing, specific costing for job quotes, as well as analysis of manufacturing performance and variances and other related duties such as budgets and forecast modelling. You will be vital player on Studco's Finance Team and will be joining one of the fastest-growing, most dynamic companies in the industry. Accountant Duties :
Calculate daily machine efficiency and scrap reporting and drill down with key production staff when unfavourable trends begin to emerge. Provide regular reporting on Maintenance Performance including machine up time, breakdowns and overall machine availability. Daily Monitoring of saved searches and reports in our ERP system to track and correct inventory issues. Helps the team to record inventory adjustments when applicable. Build and close all monthly work orders, as applicable. Provide items for the production teams to cycle count and report on results/trends with the operation leads. Prepare weekly reports for the operational team to analyze and review. Prepare weekly sales reports on margin analysis by location and product group. Assist in scheduling coil deliveries and monitoring of coil mill certifications. Work closely with the Coil Bay team to identify damaged coils and reach out to vendor for credits. Assist both the production and sales teams with any inventory inconsistencies. Reconcile perpetual vs. G/L inventory balances on a monthly basis. Other month end closing tasks as needed Follow OH&S Quality and Environmental Policies & Procedures.
Preferred knowledge:
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance 1-3 years experience in finance and accounting Experience with ERP software (Net Suite preferred) Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances Advanced knowledge of Excel Knowledge of customer service principles and practices a plus Preferred skills: Excellent interpersonal skills Professional personal presentation Analytical and problem solving skills Effective verbal and listening communication skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Very effective organisational skills Stress management skills Time management skills
