Job Description

Our client, a well-established and growing organization in the Barberton/Norton area, is seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This position reports to the Controller and offers the opportunity to play a key role in financial reporting, general ledger management, process improvement, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on role, values accuracy, and wants to contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Perform account analyses and variance investigations Support month-end and year-end close processes Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related activities Help develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and financial reviews Partner with management to provide financial insights and reporting Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles Experience with ERP/accounting software systems Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines What We're Looking For High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced setting Continuous improvement mindset with a desire to streamline processes and enhance efficiency Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation package along with comprehensive benefits, professional development opportunities, and long-term career growth potential.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
