Job Description
Creative Business Strategies is a growing accounting firm located in Broadview Heights Ohio. We provide accounting help to individuals and small to midsize companies. Our goal is to build and maintain long-lasting relationships, both with our clients and our employees. CBS is looking to hire a full time tax preparer. Will provide on the job training. Ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience (will provide onsite job training if needed) in public accounting or tax with an emphasis in business and individual tax preparation. Candidate will work across the many facets of public accounting, including tax return preparation and planning, tax research, and consulting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance on tax planning strategies
- Assist clients with tax compliance and reporting requirements
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Collaborate with clients to identify tax-saving opportunities
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations
Experience:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or related field
- Knowledge of tax laws
- Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills:
- Financial planning expertise to assist clients in managing their finances effectively
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Strong account reconciliation abilities to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Sales skills to identify potential clients and promote accounting services
- Investment knowledge to provide advice on investment strategies for clients' financial goals
