Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core financial operations and reporting for a range of designated funds and related programs in Beachwood, Ohio. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate records, preparing meaningful financial information for internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to budgeting and year-end reporting activities. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting fundamentals, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a detail-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop recurring financial statements and supporting analyses for endowment, special purpose, and security-related funds, including materials used by leadership groups and lending partners.
  • Prepare consolidation schedules and audit support documentation for year-end reporting across a large portfolio of entities, including assistance with financial statement note disclosures.
  • Calculate annual spending availability and administrative fee activity associated with endowment accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency with governing guidelines.
  • Record and maintain accounting activity for security, endowment, and special purpose funds by posting entries and monitoring account balances.
  • Support invoicing and billing processes tied to security-related operations and help resolve related accounting questions.
  • Contribute to the preparation and oversight of budgets for organizational operations, cemeteries, and security programs through analysis and ongoing financial tracking.
  • Perform month-end close tasks such as journal entry preparation, general ledger review, and reconciliation of balance sheet and bank accounts.
  • Participate in ad hoc assignments and special projects as business needs arise.
