Job Description

Company Overview:
United Alloys & Metals is one of the world's leading processors of titanium and super alloy scrap located in Columbus, OH with over 400,000 square feet of manufacturing space. As a division of the Cronimet family, UAM is part of one of the world's largest metal recycling organizations.

Cost Accountant Report to: Finance Directors Based at: Columbus Ohio Key responsibilities and job functions: 1. Inventory a.
  • Liaison with warehouse b.
  • Conversions c.
  • Brokerage d.
  • Consignment 2.
Prepare sales invoicing 3. Some banking duties 4. Market pricing 5. Various account reconciliations and metrics calculations and data tracking. 6. Cross-train on purchase settlements (weight, chemistry, conversion documentation, customer invoices and history and processes settlement appropriate to the info available) and be a backup for admin duties including supplies purchasing, filing, etc.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
To perform the Cost Accountant position successfully, an individual must have: 1. Team player with strong upward communication skills. 2. A strong knowledge of cost accounting concepts, practices and procedures. 3. Strong computer and financial reporting skills. 4. Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 5. The ability to work independently. 6. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems specifically with proficiency in
SAP, RIMAS
(or other inventory management software), Microsoft suite
  • Excellent Excel skills.
7. The ability to produce quality work within time frames, and be able to manage several projects simultaneously. 8. Be organized and detail oriented. 9. Excellent arithmetic skills including accuracy.
Education and Experience:
1. Minimum Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance. 2. Minimum 2+ years of cost accounting or public accounting experience.
