This is an accounting-focused role with additional responsibility for HR administration support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This person will support accounting, payroll coordination, employee records, onboarding paperwork, benefits administration support, and general office administration. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to be close to the business, work directly with leadership, and help improve the systems and processes of a growing aerospace and defense manufacturing company. Responsibilities Accounting / Finance Thompson Aluminum Casting Co. is looking for a Staff Accountant to support the financial and administrative needs of the business. This is an accounting-focused role with additional responsibility for HR administration support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This person will support accounting, payroll coordination, employee records, onboarding paperwork, benefits administration support, and general office administration. Support attendance tracking, employee communications, and basic HR reporting Help coordinate employee programs such as safety shoes, PPE, and other company requirements Maintain confidentiality with all employee and company information General Administrative Support Help keep office, accounting, and employee records organized and current Support communication between finance, HR, operations, and leadership Assist with special projects as the business continues to grow and improve Help bring structure to processes that may currently be informal or manual Qualifications 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or office administration experience Basic understanding of accounting principles Experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, or month-end support preferred Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and follow-up skills Ability to handle confidential information professionally Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment Willingness to support administrative HR responsibilities as part of the role Preferred Experience Manufacturing or industrial business experience ERP or accounting system experience Payroll system experience Benefits administration or employee records experience Exposure to general ledger, month-end close, AP, or AR Experience working in a small or mid-sized business where people wear multiple hats What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is dependable, practical, and comfortable supporting multiple areas of the business. The core of the role is accounting, but this person will also help keep basic HR administration organized and current. The right candidate will be accurate, discreet, responsive, and willing to learn. This is not a narrow corporate accounting role. It is a hands-on position in a real manufacturing business where follow-through and common sense matter. Compensation Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. .
