Full Job Description Description:
Brady Ware is sourcing a Senior Accountant for a local client. This role leads key accounting functions while driving process improvements and supporting business operations. The position offers exposure beyond the close, including customer credit, systems work, and direct partnership with leadership. Responsibilities Lead the accounts payable process, including invoice coding, approvals, and payment execution Own the month-end close, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations Support preparation of financial statements for internal and external reporting Coordinate with auditors and external partners for annual reviews and periodic bank audits Prepare and oversee weekly operational and financial reporting (sales, inventory, and operations performance) Support the annual budget and ongoing forecasting process Manage sales tax reporting and remittance Partner cross-functionally to explain financial results and business impact Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving opportunities Mentor and support development of junior accounting staff
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical skills with attention to detail Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments Experience with ERP systems Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of MS Office
