ACCOUNTANT
The Accountant will support daily accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and manufacturing cost accounting activities. This role will assist with inventory valuation, standard cost review, variance analysis, and account reconciliations. The position works closely with controller, accounting team, and operations to ensure financial records are accurate and manufacturing costs are properly reviewed and reported. Key Responsibilities General Accounting Prepare journal entries and support month-end close. Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts. Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance. Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash application as needed. Assist in preparing monthly financial reports. Provide supporting schedules and documentation for audits. Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with company policy. Cost Accounting and Inventory Support Assist with standard cost updates and cost roll-up review. Review material, labor, overhead, outside processing, and scrap variances. Help analyze manufacturing margin and explain major cost changes. Reconcile inventory records to the general ledger. Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and inventory variance review. Work with operations to understand inventory movement, production issues, and cost variances. Other Responsibilities Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting. Support process improvement projects within the accounting department. Perform other accounting duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of accounting experience; manufacturing experience preferred. Basic understanding of cost accounting, standard costing, and inventory accounting. Experience with ERP systems preferred. Strong Excel skills. Good attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. Ability to work with cross-functional teams to support reporting and analysis. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with inventory control, BOMs, routings, standard costs. Working Conditions Primarily office-based with some interaction with production and inventory teams. Additional hours may be needed during month-end close, year-end close, audits, or physical inventory.
