Epcon Communities is currently seeking a Regional Accounting associate to join our growing company. This position is responsible for various monthly accounting requirements; including but not limited to, the processing of bi-monthly draws for assigned communities under construction, assisting with project construction budgets, completing monthly cost to complete reporting, and tracking cost variances.

Regional Accounting Responsibilities:

Reviews and processes construction invoices, purchase orders, and prepares construction draws for multiple projects. Posts construction costs for Job Costing and Accounting purposes, and ensures all draw reports reconcile. Assists with the preparation of construction budgets and project completion cost estimates. Identifies variances and assists in obtaining documentation. Analyzes vendor statements and resolves discrepancies and outstanding items. Communicates with construction trade partners and government entities as necessary to ensure timely receipt and proper application of payments. Communicates with banking partners and title company to facilitate the execution of the monthly construction draws. This position may require occasional overtime to meet deadlines.

Requirements of Regional Accounting:

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Three years of construction accounts payable or project accounting experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suit and various account systems with advanced level of proficiency in Excel. Solid working knowledge of accounting software, experience with MarkSystems is a plus. Attentive to detail and accuracy. Effective problem-solving skills.
