Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to support accurate and timely financial operations for our team in Eaton, Colorado. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who brings strong accounting knowledge, careful attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining reliable financial records. The person in this role will contribute to core accounting activities, help strengthen reporting processes, and partner with internal teams to provide meaningful financial support.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and evaluate financial reports and supporting records to confirm accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations, researching discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring transactions are recorded correctly and processed on schedule.
• Create and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end close by organizing documentation, reviewing balances, and supporting deadline-driven reporting.
• Assist with budgeting efforts, forecast updates, and variance reviews to help explain financial performance.
• Maintain accounting documentation and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and control.
• Provide audit support by gathering financial records and responding to requests from internal and external reviewers.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insight while safeguarding sensitive accounting information.
