Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations for a manufacturing environment in Loudonville, Ohio. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, guiding the month-end close process, and delivering reliable reporting for business planning. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of general ledger activity, reconciliations, and financial analysis, along with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively across teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead monthly close activities by preparing entries, reviewing account activity, and ensuring deadlines are met with accuracy.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through detailed analysis, proper classification of transactions, and timely corrections when needed.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to support routine accounting activity, accruals, adjustments, and period-end reporting.
  • Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and bank accounts, researching discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting by compiling financial data, analyzing trends, and supporting planning discussions.
  • Contribute to the preparation and consolidation of financial statements to provide clear and reliable insight into business performance.
  • Partner with operational and finance teams within a manufacturing setting to track costs and support informed decision-making.
  • Help strengthen accounting processes by identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
