Summary
The Job Cost Accountant is responsible for timely and accurate job "set-ups" for allpanies, regions, and joint ventures. In addition, the JCA is responsible for all maintenance to the projects, until the close out of each project, including adding cost codes and workerspensation codes.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Job Cost Accountant will possesspetency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Maintains job master files and region changes
Updates missing workersp codes after confirming
Processes suspends and non-postings per request
Distributes reports for project teams and management as needed
Enters additional codes on demand for internal and external customers
Assists internal and external customers with wide variety of problems - troubleshooting
Utilizes the "help desk" approach by answering questions and finding solutions to a variety of problems
Trains new and existing co-workers to properlyplete transition sheets Distributes job information daily to various departments tomunicate crucial information
Assist with monthly WIP preparation
Assists Controller I-Job Cost Manager as required with various projects
Prepares various reconciliations (ADD)
Requirements
An Associates Degree (preferred) or 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent of education and experience
Proficiency in Microsoft software programs such as Word and Excel
Must possess strong customer service skills
Vista experience preferred

Ability to present information in written and oral form to co-workers within thepany
Ability to learn terms and jargon used in the field by construction personnel
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
Ability to build and maintain relationships with Operations and Shared Services staff
Ability to research and summarize various types of data
Ability to follow standards, practices, policies, procedures
Ability to organize and prioritize work
