Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description Komar Industries, is a world leader in the waste equipment industry. The company manufactures and services balers, compactors, and provides parts and resources to customers. Komar Industries is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Komar Service Accounting Team in Groveport, Ohio, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, or York South Carolina. The Senior Accountant is responsible for analyzing financial information and performing a variety of accounting duties associated with the timely and accurate preparation and reporting of financial data, in accordance with applicable accounting, industry, regulatory and institutional principles and policies. The Senior Accountant should possess solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
Reconcile general ledger accounts as assigned in accordance with departmental deadlines. Enter transactions into the general and operating ledger accurately and timely. Prepare weekly Komar Service payroll cash requirements report. Distribute to all Komar sites with cash funding requirements. Prepare Komar Service payroll intercompany entries from cash requirements to cash receipts Daily monitoring of bank accounts and ensuring banking transactions are entered into ERP Analyze, monitor, and report on AR and AP aging. Prepare weekly/monthly cash requirements. Analyze and audit transactions and general ledger statements for accuracy. Prepare bank/credit card reconciliations. Respond to inquiries connected with budgets and expenditures. Identify accounting corrections. Run daily reports and identify any discrepancies and take action to rectify them. Assist in preparing year-end and interim reports. Assist with capitalizing fixed assets, write-offs and other updates as requested. Prepare/Process month end close. Provide assistance to internal and external auditors during fiscal year-end procedures. Maintain a variety of supporting excel schedules. Other miscellaneous duties as needed to support team.
Qualifications:
1-3 years accounting experience in a manufacturing/service environment. BA in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience. Experience using NetSuite,preferred or other ERP system . Experience with journal entries and general ledgers. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access. (Advanced skills in Excel preferred). Understanding processes and data behind the numbers.
