with match, flexible hours, long-term growth opportunities Overview We are seeking a Staff Tax Accountant to join our Strongsville-based accounting firm and support our small business clients. In this role, you will assist with a wide range of accounting functions, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, tax preparation, payroll support, and financial reporting, while continuing to build your technical skills and client service experience. This opportunity is ideal for someone with at least two years of accounting experience in public accounting or industry who is looking to grow within a collaborative, client-focused environment. You will work closely with firm leadership, gain hands-on exposure to client relationships, and have the opportunity to develop into a more senior role over time. Key Responsibilities Serve as a point of contact for assigned business clients, with support from firm leadership as needed Prepare individual, business, and partnership tax returns Manage monthly and quarterly bookkeeping, including bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain general ledgers and assist with preparation of financial statements Support payroll processing and related filings for clients Assist with tax planning and client advisory projects as needed Build and maintain positive, long-term client relationships Collaborate with firm leadership and contribute to process improvements Qualifications Approximately 1 year of experience preparing business and individual tax returns or performing similar accounting work Experience in public accounting or industry preferred Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and tax preparation software Strong communication skills and ability to work professionally with clients Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation with overtime pay
