Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Toledo, Ohio. Responsibilities:

• Oversee profit and loss statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Manage lease-related tasks, including tracking expirations, cost allocations, and tenant billing.
• Monitor community maintenance charges and utility expenses, providing detailed invoicing to tenants.
• Track historic tax credits, maintaining compliance and detailed records.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Handle journal entries and general ledger maintenance with precision.
• Conduct month-end closings and prepare financial reports.
• Utilize Yardi Breeze software for accounting tasks and reporting.
• Collaborate with an Accounting Administrator to improve financial processes and efficiency.
• Identify and implement improvements to existing accounting procedures. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and account reconciliations.
• Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with Yardi or similar accounting software.
• Experience in real estate or construction accounting is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to guide and collaborate with others.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and process improvement.
