Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support financial operations for a manufacturing environment in Catoosa, Oklahoma. This role focuses on delivering accurate cost data, strengthening inventory controls, and providing reporting that helps leadership evaluate performance and planning decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability, a solid understanding of standard costing, and experience working through monthly and annual accounting cycles.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain product cost records and standard cost structures to ensure accurate valuation of inventory and production activity.
  • Review manufacturing expenses and investigate cost fluctuations, translating findings into clear recommendations for management.
  • Perform reconciliations across inventory, subledgers, and general ledger accounts to support reliable financial reporting.
  • Contribute to month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries, analyzing balances, and validating cost-related transactions.
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc financial reports that summarize operational results, spending patterns, and margin performance.
  • Partner with operations and finance teams to support budgeting efforts and improve visibility into plant-level costs.
  • Assist with annual physical inventory activities, including count support, variance review, and documentation of adjustments.
  • Evaluate standard versus actual results through variance analysis and help identify underlying drivers affecting profitability.
