Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Accountant/CPA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting including payroll and bookkeeping and corporate and individual tax preparation with an emphasis on tax preparation. This role requires proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, Accounting CS, and Excel as well as excellent customer service skills to assist clients effectively throughout the tax filing process. Responsibilities Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations. Prepare corporate financials and payroll and analyze financial information to determine tax liabilities. Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify any questions regarding their financial situations. Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice to clients. Assist clients with inquiries related to their tax filings, bookkeeping and payroll services, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process. Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions. Experience Proven experience in tax preparation, corporate accounting, or public accounting is required. Familiarity with financial software such as QuickBooks and Accounting CS is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. A commitment to continuous learning about changes in tax laws and best practices in the industry. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required and Master's degree in Accounting and/or a Certified Public Accountant is highly desirable. Proven experience in corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, or public accounting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, account analysis, budgeting, and technical accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, ACS, Excel Practice CS) is essential; familiarity with financial software is a plus. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate reporting and compliance. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficient in 10 key typing for efficient data entry tasks related to bookkeeping activities.
