Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field About Jackson Streets MEP Contractors Jackson Streets MEP Contractors is a leading Oklahoma‑based mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractor serving commercial, industrial, and institutional clients statewide. We are expanding our accounting team and seeking a motivated Junior Accountant who is ready to grow, learn, and contribute to a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment. Position Overview The Junior Accountant will support our accounting department with daily financial tasks, ensuring accurate, timely, and organized financial records. This role works closely with senior accountants and project managers to maintain financial integrity across all MEP service and construction operations. The Junior Accountant will also assist the team by maintaining financial statements, preparing balance sheets, and updating financial records. Key Responsibilities Maintain accounts receivable : document bills, verify supporting documentation, and track incoming payments. Maintain accounts payable : process invoices, confirm the validity of charges, and ensure timely vendor payments. Update and reconcile financial records using accounting software and internal systems. Assist with payroll expense gathering and proper entry into accounting lines. Prepare quarterly budget drafts under senior management guidance. Analyze financial statements and assist in preparing balance sheets and internal reports. Support senior accountants with project‑related financial tasks, reconciliations, and documentation. Provide administrative and financial support for construction and service project billing. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). Strong understanding of basic accounting principles. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple deadlines. Strong communication skills and willingness to learn. Preferred Skills Experience with accounts payable/receivable workflows. Familiarity with construction or service‑industry accounting.
