Lead AP Accountant LHH US Oklahoma City, OK Job Details Temp-to-hire $75,000 - $85,000 a year 8 hours ago Qualifications Spreadsheets Microsoft Dynamics 365 Managing accounting teams Vendor relationship management Productivity software Associate's degree Microsoft Dynamics Full Job Description LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking experienced Accounts Payable Team Leads for an opportunity with our Oklahoma City, OK client to serve as a key operational leader within a high-volume AP function. This role is responsible for managing complex vendor relationships, leading daily workflow distribution, and serving as the primary escalation point for the AP team. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to operate with a high level of autonomy. This position could be contract-to-hire or direct hire. Key Responsibilities Vendor & Account Management Own a portfolio of high-volume and complex vendor accounts Serve as the primary AP contact for internal business units and external vendors Resolve escalations, payment holds, and discrepancies independently Reconcile vendor statements and manage contract terms, pricing, and payment agreements Team Leadership & Workflow Management Assign and prioritize daily work across AP Specialists Monitor team queues to ensure timely processing and prevent backlogs Track productivity against KPIs and escalate capacity or performance issues Adjust priorities to meet month-end close and payment deadlines Invoice Processing & Oversight Process complex PO and Non-PO invoices requiring advanced review and coordination Manage recurring Non-PO obligations (rent, utilities, taxes, insurance) with full audit documentation Resolve pricing, quantity, and receipt discrepancies independently Ensure accurate and timely posting to support financial close Quality Control & Team Support Act as the first point of escalation for team questions and exception handling Provide training, mentorship, and onboarding support Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to SOP updates Support audit requests and ensure documentation readiness Qualifications Associate's degree required; Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment Proven experience managing complex vendor accounts and resolving exceptions Experience handling recurring Non-PO expenses strongly preferred Prior experience leading workflow or mentoring team members Working knowledge of Microsoft D365 F&O and ExFlow Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Ability to interpret policy and make independent decisions in non-routine situations Why This Role High-impact leadership role with visibility across the organization Opportunity to drive process improvements and influence AP operations Collaborative environment with strong internal partnerships If interested in the above position, please apply today. Pay Details:
