Job Description

CURRENT EMPLOYEES
- Please apply using "Jobs Hub" in Workday. This career site is for external applicants only. The staff accountant will be responsible for calculating monthly LOE accruals and working with Operations teams to review, analyze and understand monthly gross and net LOE, under the direct supervision of the Supervisor. This position requires strong attention to detail and research skills, as well as a high degree of accuracy. The position also requires effective communication skills as well as the ability to pick up on new concepts quickly, with appropriate instructions.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and calculate monthly LOE accruals Review and analyze net LOE trends to facilitate better oversight and understanding for accounting and operations teams Evaluate LOE for potential coding errors and provide corrections Analyze and explain monthly LOE variance Assist with the preparation of monthly LOE presentation slides Collaborate with Operations on needed information and assisting with their accounting questions Prepare monthly account reconciliations Other duties or ad hoc projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (BBA or BS) in Finance, Accounting, or similar discipline Three (3+) years of Oil and Gas accounting experience Three (3+) years of experience in Microsoft Office, specifically
Excel Preferred Qualifications:
Accounting degree preferred SAP experience preferred High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Good problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team Flexible regarding workload and priorities Ability to pick up on new concepts with guidance Effective communication skills to work with all levels of the organization Possess a positive and team-oriented attitude Diamondback is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
